Bradley walked into the Jolly sailor in the afternoon. David was behind the bar and he poured him a drink. Bradley looked over at where Jeff was happily playing on a fruit machine. The money box at the bottom had been broken open ages ago and the coins just circulated around and around, but it didn’t seem to be having any effect on Jeff’s fun.

‘What’s up bruv?’ David asked him quietly.

‘I’ve just been over to dad’s flat. Apparently Sean’s turned up with a young girl,’ Bradley told him just as quietly. ‘Apparently it’s Nick smith’s daughter. Sean left a note to tell him where she was.’

‘That Sean is a fucking liability.’ David poured himself a drink and knocked it back.

‘Dad thinks that Sean’s gone loco but he also thought that it might work in our favour if we catch Nick and let Sean kill him then give him Sean.’

‘That’s fucking ridiculous!’ David told him. ‘What’s the point in that? We want Klaus to be mad at Liz, not Sean. Sean is just evidence. We want Klaus to know about Liz and we want Liz to do a runner with half his army. That’s the plan we made and this could seriously ruin it.’

‘You don’t need to tell me the plan!’ Bradley gave him one of his looks. I’ve just told dad exactly that and he’s agreed,’ Bradley said quietly. ‘We also have to be careful because Jeff will know the girl as well.’

‘Oh this just gets better!’ David hissed. ‘Sean’s at dads is he? I’m gonna strangle that little shit right now. I’m going to beat the fuck out of him. It’s what I should’ve done a long time ago.’

Bradley held up his hand. ‘He’s at dads flat but hold on David,’ Bradley said. ‘Let’s just calm down a bit.’

David nodded at that. ‘Ok,’ he said. ‘Let’s think about this. We get Sean and lock him and the girl up, then we’ve got even more evidence against Liz.’

‘Almost right bruv.’ Bradley gave him a rare smile. ‘I don’t think we should lock the girl up though,’ he said. ‘Nick Smith will be on his way here soon and from what I’ve heard he won’t take too kindly to us if we lock up his girl. Let’s just get Sean locked away somewhere. The girl’s with the doorman Neil at the moment. We can get her and let her be with Jeff. She will be grateful, Jeff will be even more grateful than he is already and Nick Smith will be grateful, but most importantly Klaus will have to believe that we mean well towards him.’
